I was at the Shiawassee Fairgrounds recently for my son’s cross country meet and standing at the entrance to the fairgrounds was this old silo surrounded by sunflowers. I am a city boy and no expert on silos or farms but I know that the silos built with the square brown tiles are old. I looked it up on the internets and from what I found the silos of this type built from the 1900s to the 1930s so this old silo must be about 100 years old. It’s what remained of the farm that once stood where the fairgrounds are today.
I also stopped and got a dam pic in Corunna but that’s a post for another day.
