Skunk Creek in the Rifle River Recreation Area. The weather was kinda rainy and the color was not that good yet, but I still look for something to photograph, I think of going out and taking picks kinda like hunting or fishing, sometimes I do well and sometimes I get skunked, I got a little bit of both on Friday. besides any day in northern Michigan is a better than a day anywhere else.
I went for a drive up north today. I went up near Grayling down thru Roscommon and then over to Rose City and after that Omer, it was a little early for fall color and the weather was not that good but that aint gonna stop me from going out and getting some pics. this is a pic from the Rifle River Recreation Area. the trees are starting to change. maybe next weekend the will peak.
I found this old general store in Kilmanagh MI, the cool thing is it still has the old gas pump out front. It looks Scooby Doo and the gang is gonna pull up in the mystery machine.
I remember visiting Deer Acres as a kid in the 70’s with my family. it was a fun day trip from Saginaw to feed the deer and drive the old model T style cars around the track with the guide rail. Time has change and Deer Acres is no longer what it used to be, I was told someone has recently purchased it and is in the process of renovating it but other than that it sits as a monument to my childhood memories.
I saw this old barn near Caro. The vines on the end look like a hand reaching out of the land pulling it down into the earth.
I went to the Upper and Lower T-falls a few years ago hoping the colors would be out but I was a little early so I was driving around in the middle of the U.P. and I found this road and got a pic. I don’t know if I can even find this road again, but at least I found it once to get this photo.Sometimes the destination is not what you wanted so you have to go out and search for your destination.
